Prep for Art is directed by Linda Pollack, Art Portfolio Coach and Facilitator
Linda has been coaching students on their college art portfolio for over a decade. She covers visual arts, architecture, design, photography, fashion, film, curatorial studies, media studies, art theory and history. Her students have been accepted to Columbia University, Cornell, Rhode Island School of Design, The School of Visual Arts, Pratt Institute, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Syracuse University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Texas at Austin, University of Miami, Goldsmiths College (UK), Oxford University (UK), and the Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program, among others. Linda is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC).
Linda is a practicing artist, exploring civic culture and specifically the U.S Constitution. Linda's recent projects could be experienced at
UCLA Hammer Museum, the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, and the Torrance Art Museum. Internationally, Linda has exhibited in The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Poland, Belgium, Romania, and Indonesia. Before studying art Linda received her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Penn State University. She holds a diploma in visual arts from the Jan van Eyck Academy in the Netherlands, and a Masters of Fine Arts from University of California San Diego. Linda honed her expertise in developing multilateral cultural projects in The Netherlands while working for HRH Princess Margriet, who chaired the Amsterdam based European Cultural Foundation, where Linda was Project Director. There she launched the Foundation’s first mobility fund for artists and arts administrators.
Apart from art and an open, democratic society, Linda is a fan of stove top espresso machines, tagine cooking, the Austrian born American architect Rudolph Schindler, and Dutch design.
